Located on the far North East Lhaviyani Atoll, the name Fushifaru was inspired by the local Dhivehi language. 'Fushi' meaning 'island' and 'faru' meaning 'reef'. The exquisite little island is the gateway to a legendary landscape positioned between two channels connecting the atoll's inner lagoon to the vast Indian Ocean. Fushifaru Kan'du is a national Marine protected Area and home to three iconic dive sites including the renowned Fushifaru Thila, one of the Maldives most popular dive spots and a marine cleaning station.
