The Velavaru villa is a ring-shaped hut with the bedroom opening out on to a wooden veranda. Guests can enjoy a private bar and easy access to both the ocean and lagoon. The Angsana villa includes a pool and jet-pool, separate living area and large glass windows for the best views.
Food & Drink
The resort’s modern restaurants cater to numerous palates, including the exclusive ‘Azzurro’ bar and restaurant which specialises in Italian cuisine and boutique wines. Guests can lounge at the ‘Kuredhi’ bar all day and enjoy cocktails and snacks at their leisure.
In the evenings, there is the option to dine à la carte or indulge in a lavish continental and Asian buffet at the ‘Kaani’ restaurant. Serving fresh seafood with a Maldivian flavour and suspended over the water, restaurant ‘Funa’ allows guests to enjoy a romantic meal under the stars. For those who crave total privacy, the option of in-villa dining is available too.
The award-winning Angsana Spa Velavaru consists of 12 rooftop spa pavilions overlooking the Indian Ocean, as well as additional treatment rooms. Guests can enjoy a combination of Western and Oriental therapies including a relaxing massage or soothing aromatherapy treatment which uses natural ingredients such as local flowers and fruits.
Angsana Velavaru understands that much of its marine wildlife is nocturnal, so it offers night snorkelling as an opportunity for guests to view these underwater creatures in their natural habitat.
Snorkellers can also view the resort’s underwater wedding garden, coral gardens and snorkelling trail in the lagoon. As part of Angsana Velavaru’s marine conservation programme, travellers can plant corals in the lagoon.
