Eladetta Walauwa is a more than a century old heritage mansion with Asian, British & Dutch architecture and now this house restored with modern amenities. This was built in the late 1800 by a Kandyan Chieftain who was the custodian of the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy. Located 14 kilo meters away, surrounded by many mountains, plains, streams, trees and paddy fields. During the years 1670 to 1679, Robert Knox set up house in the land adjacent to Eladetta Walauwa.
