Day one of 'The After Dark Tales' tour begins in bustling Colombo, known for its commercial and tourist attractions. Starting at 5:30 pm, the Resident Expert meets guests at Sivan Hindu temple. The journey includes visits to the vibrant Red Mosque and Hulfsdorp street for delicious street food. Afterward, a drive to the Dutch Hospital reveals the prison cell of King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe, marking the end of the Sri Lankan monarchy. The day ends with a stroll to the Grand Oriental Hotel for a Gin and Tonic with a cheese platter, concluding around 11 pm.
Ulagalla Resort, Anuradhapura
Day 2: Guests journey to Ulagalla Resort, stopping at Dambulla Cave Temple, the largest and best-preserved in Sri Lanka. The day concludes with an authentic Sri Lankan Kamatha dinner at the hotel. Day 3: A historian leads a Backroad cycling tour through Anuradhapura's inner city and hidden gems, followed by a visit to Kalu Diya Pokuna, a forest monastery offering insights into Buddhist Monk life. The experience lasts 1 hour, with guests returning to the hotel by 6:30-7:00 pm. Day 4: Guests embark on a morning drive to climb Sigiriya rock fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterward, they visit the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, known for captivating ruins and the Dalada Maluwa, home to the Tooth Relic and remarkable buildings.
The Kandy House, Kandy
Day 5: Guests drive to Kandy in the morning, a 3-hour journey. After lunch at Royal Bar, they explore Kandy city and its market, with an optional visit to Kandy temple. The day ends with hotel check-in for relaxation. Day 6: Guests hike in the scenic Knuckles Mountain Range, known for its iconic trekking routes. Access points include Riverston and Deanston/Meemure in the southeastern flank. The rural village of Meemure offers additional trails.
Ceylon Tea Trails, Dickoya
Day 7: Guests enjoy an early breakfast before heading to Kandy Railway Station for a nostalgic train journey to Hatton Railway Station, lasting about 3.5 hours. This vintage experience emulates colonial-era travel with reserved seating and scenic views. A dedicated Train Butler serves tea, coffee, and snacks, with 1st and 2nd class ticket flexibility. Day 9: Guests take a scheduled Cinnamon Air flight to Weerawila Airport, then transfer to Uga Chena Huts. In the evening, they enjoy a Jeep safari at Yala National Park, renowned for its diverse wildlife including elephants, leopards, and aquatic birds. Day 10: Morning and evening Jeep safaris at Yala National Park offer captivating wildlife encounters and serene landscapes, creating unforgettable experiences for nature enthusiasts.

After arriving in Galle in the morning, guests can relax until their Evening Sundown Galle Fort Walking Tour with Resident Expert.
