Velaa Private Island
Located in the Noonu Atoll, Velaa Private Island shares its name and home with the generation of sea turtles that have inhabited the Island for countless years.
Behind the scenes, the owner, Jiri Smejc, has worked hard to create a resort of true privacy and luxury, having spent many weeks in the Maldives on vacation and during business trips from Europe to Asia.
A high-end resort with just 45 exclusive residences, Velaa Private Island is rife in unique features, from the Maldives first ‘snow room’ in the Spa and the first PGA golf academy, to its own Michelin-Star Chef, Adeline Grattard, from Paris.
