Located within close proximity to the Udawalawe National Park, Its location gives easy accessibility to Udawalawe, Yala National Park.Banyan Camp is an off the grid, eco-retreat in deep rural Sri Lanka. A lake front location where humans are few and nature is plenty. The line between civilized and wild is blurred as are the lines between inside and out. Everything from the scavenged doors and windows to driftwood furniture, re-used bottles, re-invented trucks, and even the local food fare is a practice in the delicate art of simplicity.
The rustic eco retreat is built using bio-degradable materials, harvested
timber, up-cycled doors and windows, Palmyra leaf roof, mortar floors and walls
maintaining a minimum carbon foot print. The shower and toilet have running water.
Providing accommodation for up to 6 people in comfortable King and Queen-size
mattresses laid in an open plan setting, promise sleeping in a novel nocturnal
experience.
Champagne Lodge
The only one of its kind on the island is built using Champagne bottles, up-cycled doors and windows, combination of palmyra leaf roof and old Dutch roof tiles.. Each lodge can accommodate up to 4 people, ideal for couples and families and has en suite shower and toilet.

Built out of an antique vehicles the Mercedes Lodge was designed to provide space beyond the realms of a normal truck, an original converted space providing comfort out in the wilderness. With en suite shower and toilet, the Mercedes comfortably accommodates 2 people.
