Located on the outskirts of the North Ari Atoll is the secluded and peaceful island of Gangehi. It is a small island with only 45 villas, very private with an excellent reef around the island. If you are lucky you may even enocunter dolphins and manta rays in the lagoon

Villas & Residences

The resort consists of a total of 45 rooms, ranging from 34 sqm to 102 sqm in size. Eight elegantly designed overwater deluxe villas boast exquisite Indian furnishings and a traditional Maldivian architecture.

Another eight overwater villas are situated facing the sunset and lagoon. With the majority having direct access to the beach, the 20 beach villas also have panoramic views. There are three garden villas located in a lush green area with private sit-outs, five club rooms and one family garden villa which consists of two connecting bedrooms and bathrooms.

Food & Beverages

The resort’s main restaurant, Veli, overlooks the beach and offers buffet-style Mediterranean, Oriental and international cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Fresh lobster and seafood menus are also available upon request.

Located ahead of the wharf suspended above the lagoon is the resort’s elegant a la carte restaurant and bar, Thari. Guests can enjoy a range of international dishes prepared in the open-air kitchen on a stunning terrace with amazing sea views.

Spa

Ginger Spa offers guests all the usual treatments including couples’ massages, combined with a spiritual and meditative experience. The spa is built from four original antique wooden cottages transported from Kerala, the cradle of Ayurveda, and is framed by coconut palms.

Diving

The resort’s dive centre is PADI and SSI certified and provides personalised services for adults and children of all abilities. Due to its prime location, Gangehi has innumerable diving sites on offer.

Other activities include daily yoga lessons and free snorkelling tours, guided by the in-house marine biologist.
