Ceylon Tea Trails consists of five restored colonial-era bungalows made up of a combination of 26 rooms and suites (master, garden and luxury).

The master suites include a separate living room, private garden and measure an average of 70 sqm. The 50 sqm garden suites offers a bathroom with twin vanities and a private garden with veranda.

The 40 sqm luxury rooms feature both a tub and walk-in rain shower. The owner’s cottage is a secluded standalone bungalow boasting lake views, a heated outdoor hot tub and veranda. 

The Norwood Bungalow features a spacious lounge and billiard room leading out on to a croquet lawn, a large swimming pool and sun deck. It consists of six suites and rooms. 

The Tientsin Bungalow opens out on to English-style gardens and boasts a large swimming pool and panoramic mountain views. It consists of six suites and rooms.

Nestled in a wooded dell close to the water, the Castlereagh Bungalow boasts open fireplaces in its dining and drawing rooms and a terrace overlooking the lake. It consists of five rooms and suites. 

The Summerville Bungalow sits high above the lake, boasting mountain views. It consists of five rooms and suites that can either be rented individually or entirely by a large group. 

The Dunkeld Bungalow looks down on the tea fields of Dunkeld estate and features an infinity pool and hot tub. As well as the 180 sqm owner’s cottage, it includes four other rooms and suites.

Food & Drink

Guests can start their day with a traditional morning “Bed Tea”, available with either an English or Sri Lankan breakfast. 

Afternoon cream teas are served throughout the day and four-course contemporary dinners each evening – made using fresh herbs and homegrown produce.

Spa & Activities

The Spa offers special aromatic baths and in-room treatments including the Tea Trails signature massage, deep tissue massage and Reflex Zone therapy. 

Activities include tennis, croquet, scenic walks and hikes, mountain biking, white water rafting and a “tea experience” consisting of a demonstration of the tea-making process, tastings and a tour.Excursions include Adam’s Peak, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy and Horton Plains National Park.

The Ceylon Tea Trails resort is approximately 30 minutes from Colombo (Bandaranaike International Airport) via seaplane.
