Manta Air, the new domestic carrier in the Maldives have started its full commercial operations on the 24th of February 2019.
Manta Air’s inaugural route is between Male and Kudahuvadhoo and will operate on a pre-published fixed schedule with daily four flights. This provides guests with multiple connectivity options throughout the day and allows them to book their preferred flights well in advance of their travel dates.
Manta Air operates brand new more eco-friendly ATR 72-600 aircraft, with most modern and spacious cabin interiors and quiet turboprop engines. They have further enhanced the cabin by implmenting a reduced seat configuration to provide every passenger with additional legroom for a comfortable flying experience. Guests can choose between 2 classes of travel with “Comfort” class offering an very comfortable 32” of leg room and those looking for even more space can opt for “Sapphire” class with a seat pitch of 36” inches and enhanced cabin services.
