A Bit about Jumeirah Olhahali Island
Set in the North Malé Atoll, this all-villa island delivers a design-led, contemporary interpretation of the Maldives with a strong sense of space and privacy. Villas are generously sized, with clean architectural lines, rooftop terraces and seamless indoor-outdoor flow that elevates the sense of separation between guests. Dining is refined and varied across several venues, offering international menus in considered, low-key settings rather than formal dining rooms. The surrounding waters are clear and calm, supporting easy snorkelling and diving from the island with excursions further afield available on request.
Hummingbird’s Thoughts
“The island surprised me with amazing wide and fine quality beaches, and it's really lush. The villas are huge - they give a different perspective on space and they're elegant with fine furnishings. The service is top notch and the F&B some of the yummiest I've tried in Maldives! Shimmers particularly stands out with its easy long lunch options by the pool and evening chilled DJ sets. We had a lobster BBQ in the private set up of the 3 bed overwater residence with live music and a lot of champagne. The island has a very special vibe overall.” - Iva, Commercial Director
New & Improved
The newly transformed One-Bedroom Ocean, Lagoon and Grand Lagoon Villas on the West Jetty have been redesigned to offer guests a more refined and contemporary expression of Maldivian island living.

Updated Design
Created with a focus on light, space and craftsmanship, the villas feature warm neutral interiors, floor-to-ceiling windows and a living-area skylight that brings natural light into the heart of the space. A signature Pivot Wall allows the bedroom and living room to either flow together or close off for privacy, giving guests greater flexibility throughout their stay.
Family Friendly
For families and shared stays, the addition of a queen-size sofa bed enhances comfort and versatility, making these villas especially well suited for guests travelling with children. Thoughtful design details include handmade Moroccan tiles at the entrance, bedside pieces inspired by the Boduberu drum, handwoven rattan accents and original artworks that reflect everyday island life.
Villa Living
Each villa also features a private rooftop terrace, available on request for intimate dining or cinema experiences beneath the stars. Outdoors, a 7-metre infinity pool and sunken lounge open directly to the ocean, creating a calm and considered setting for guests to enjoy the surrounding seascape.
