When clients are staying on the West Coast of Barbados, we strongly recommend booking on a Room Only (RO) or Bed & Breakfast (B&B) basis, or at most Half Board (HB). The reasoning is simple: we actively encourage clients to explore beyond their hotel and immerse themselves in the island's vibrant food & drink scene, supporting local businesses and giving back to the island's economy. Barbados is known for its diverse restaurants & bars, and from the West Coast all key dining hot spots are within a maximum 20-minute transfer. Pre-booking is strongly advised, particularly from November to April. December is especially busy, and reservations often need to be made up to six months in advance. 

 

Below are our top West Coast dining and lifestyle recommendations: 

 

  • The Fish Pot 

One of the very best restaurants on the island and located at the very top of the West Coast. This family-run, oceanfront haven is an absolute must when visiting Barbados and is perfect for those staying on the West Coast. We recommend visiting for lunch, as the views overlooking the Caribbean Sea are simply perfection. 

 

  • Sea Shed 

Sea Shed is the perfect spot to end the day with sundowners and nibbles. We highly recommend a 4pm booking to enjoy the sunset and ambiance. Live music is available at weekends, and guests may wish to bring swimwear for a sunset dip!

  • The Lonestar 

The Lonestar is a popular breakfast and brunch venue, with a dramatic ocean view on arrival. Guests may wish to bring swimwear to enjoy the shallows. In the evening, formal attire is required, and valet parking is available. 

  • The Tides 

The Tides is well known for its cocktail menu and extensive wine list. Dinner is recommended, as the evening lighting and ambiance create a romantic setting with the sound of the waves in the background. Valet parking is also available. 

  • The Cliff

The Cliff is a landmark West Coast Restaurant and is famous for its luxurious setting and spectacular views. This venue is suited to an elegant evening out, with formal attire required and valet parking provided. 

 

  • Limegrove Lifestyle Centre

Situated in the central hub of Holetown, offering bars, boutique coffee shops, designer outlets, restaurants and ice-cream parlours. A late morning visit is around 11am is recommended when shops are open. For evening dining, Fusion Rooftop offers contemporary cuisine, sushi, and pre-dinner drinks overlooking the West Coast. After dinner, Second Street provides a lively selection of bars to continue the evening.
