Review
JA Manafaru is in a very unique location at the far north of the Maldives, meaning the marine life is rich and abundant and there is minimal light pollution. I've never seen so many dolphins in my life, and so many eagle rays as well! The resort is also particularly special as it's situated close to Utheemu Island which is the historical site of the Gan'duvaru Palace - the birthplace and home of Sultan Mohamed Thakurufaanu, one of the most revered heroes in Maldivian history. Guests can learn a bit about the Sultan and how he shaped the country as we know it today, and I think families with children would especially like this educational experience. It's not often you get to mix culture with a tropical beach stay especially in the Maldives!
