I loved V Villas for its incredibly peaceful, barefoot feel, and its recent refurbishment has really upped its game! It’s the kind of place where guests can genuinely switch off, with no TVs, no motorised watersports and a wonderfully intimate island atmosphere. The island is small enough that staff quickly get to know their guests, and the number of repeat visitors, some returning for more than 20 years, says a lot about the loyalty this place inspires. The marine life is another big draw, particularly for divers and anyone hoping to see mantas and whale sharks. For me, it’s a really authentic take on the Maldives and a great choice for clients who value tranquillity over lots of facilities.
