Six Senses Laamu
Six Senses Laamu is the only resort in the Laamu Atoll, in the southern Maldives, just five degrees north of the Equator. Six Senses Latitude strives towards self-sufficiency and zero-waste, as well as being home to the largest Marine Team in the country.
The resort offers a wide range of water sports including water skiing, surfing, night diving and snorkelling in the island’s coral-rich house reef. The well-known surfing wave, Ying Yang, breaks just offshore.
Guests can also take advantage of numerous excursions such as a picnic on a private sandbank and exploring neighbouring islands including Hithadhoo. Six Senses Latitude boasts an on-site children’s club, The Den.

Villas & Accommodation
The resort consists of a combination of on-land and over-water villas constructed from sustainable materials, ranging from 108 to 253 sqm in size.
The lagoon beach villas and ocean beach villas include a panoramic treetop deck with seating and dining area, an open-air shower and bath tub, private garden and direct beach access. Both types of accommodation are also available with a private pool.
The lagoon water villas and ocean water villas are secluded by high wooden enclosures across timber jetties and are available with either sunset or sunrise views. They feature a treetop deck, an “aquarium dining deck” with glass table, a sunken glass bath tub, outdoor rain shower, hammock and direct beach access. The ocean water villa is also available with a private pool.
The Laamu water villas are located further along the jetties and boast upper and lower decks, an over-water glass bath tub, outdoor rain shower, hammock and direct access to the ocean. These villas are also available with a private pool.
The family villas consist of a beach villa with the addition of a study/extra bedroom and an adjoining bathroom. They include a treetop deck, private garden with open-air shower and bath tub, pool and private access to the beach.
Food & Drink
Each of the resort’s restaurants creates its dishes using produce grown in the island’s organic gardens.
Six Senses Laamu’s signature restaurant, Leaf, is positioned above the organic gardens and provides guests with the opportunity to dine privately or at the communal Chili Table. International over-water restaurant, Longitude, is an open-air two-storey space which offers a breakfast buffet and dinner a la carte.
Zen serves Japanese fusion cuisine with a modern twist and features a live cooking station. Emerging from the pool, Sip Sip features a sunken bar and poolside seating for all-day dining. Finally, the Ice and Chocolate Studio is an al-fresco ice cream parlour with 40+ flavours to choose from.
Spa
Set on the beach, Six Senses Spa offers four uniquely designed couple’s treatment nests, four secluded couple’s treatment pavilions and one Ayurvedic treatment pavilion, all within the island’s natural vegetation. The spa’s award-winning signature treatments include the use of natural products, personal consultations and holistic therapies.
Location
The Six Senses Laamu resort is accessed from Male International Airport via a 35-minute domestic flight to Laamu Kadhdhoo Airport, followed by a 15-minute speedboat ride.
