Review
The Standard is not really like any other resort in the Maldives - it has something for everyone. An amazing house reef for world-class snorkelling and diving, a great kid's club with a variety of different educational programs on offer, and the largest disco ball in the Maldives! There is also a large inflatable waterpark where teens can tire themselves out, and the adults can dance the night away at the overwater Beru Bar complete with glass dance floor. The Standard is perfect for families, couples and groups - I was blown away by the natural beach and had a hoot under the disco ball!

KULA
This all-day dining restaurant, is a bountiful and casual affair in a breezy and shaded dining room. Kula means “colours” in Dhivehi (the local Maldivian language) and a colourful menu is exactly what is featured – guests can enjoy authentic Western, Mediterranean, and Asian cuisine, cooked by the diverse culinary team that hails from around the globe.

An authentic Maldivian Restaurant, GUDUGUDA is the first of its kind in the Maldives. Featuring a traditional celebratory Maldivian cuisine cooked by Maldivian “aunties” – the women who carry on the tradition of this remarkable cuisine, GUDUGUDA is the Dhivehi (the local Maldivian language) verb for relaxing and conversing while smoking a special shisha water pipe. The menus are driven by locally caught, seafood-driven dishes, flavorful coconut milk curries with carefully selected complimentary fresh spices and herbs, fresh regional fruits and vegetables, delicate and aromatic rice dishes and perfectly cooked breads.

Make sure to order a TODIS namesake cocktail, which is served in a half coconut shell and made from “toddy”, a local specialty liquor made by fermenting fresh coconut water!

TONIC consists of our spa deck, the adults-only pool with swim-up wellness bar at The Standard Spa, Maldives. The mixologists collaborate with herbalists to create fLavorful cocktails, non-alcoholic tonics and elixirs made from herbs and plants with medicinal benefits. The offerings are the perfect complement to any of the spa treatments and also make healthy in-between meal moments.
