Holly, our Sales Product Executive recently went on a 4 day trip to the stunning Guadeloupe. Here were her thoughts:

"Our first day was all about exploring the capital of Guadeloupe, Pointe-à-Pitre, and the Grand-Terre side of the island. Pointe-à-Pitre is vibrant and full of culture and art, particularly known for the colourful graffiti that lines the streets. We explored the city by tuk-tuk, stopping at the local spice market along the way, which really brought the destination to life."

"From here, we travelled to La Toubana Hotel & Spa, located in Sainte-Anne, an area best known for its incredible white-sand beaches. La Toubana is the only five-star resort on the island, and it’s easy to see why. The hotel offers breathtaking views, outstanding cuisine, and beautifully luxurious accommodation. The spa is particularly special, featuring Sisley Paris products and is the only spa in Guadeloupe to offer this exclusive luxury range. Accommodation includes bungalows, suites, and three- to four-bedroom villas, making it ideal for honeymooners, families, and multi-generational groups. A twin-centre stay is strongly recommended, starting at La Toubana and then continuing to Le Jardin Malanga, which is a perfect complement."

"We visited Montebello Rum Distillery, a fifth-generation family-run business where the passion and care behind the production was evident throughout the tour. The tasting was a highlight, with over nine rums sampled, including a powerful 74% proof white rum named Pure, which certainly lived up to its name."

"From here, we continued to Jardin de Valombreuse, one of the most breathtaking places I’ve ever visited. We enjoyed lunch with a stunning backdrop before taking a small train through the gardens to discover the island’s rich wildlife and plant life."

"Day four began at the charming Langley Resort Fort Royal. From the resort, we took a scenic 20-minute hike to Perle Beach, famously featured in the BBC series Death in Paradise and directly accessible from the hotel. Located on the Caribbean side of the island, Langley Resort Fort Royal offers 215 rooms, suites, and bungalows. It has a relaxed, bohemian feel and is surrounded by dramatic rainforest-covered mountains. This is a low-key property, ideal for guests wanting to disconnect and explore the island, with a wide range of activities and excursions available - including a dedicated Death in Paradise tour."

"We ended the day with a short drive to Sainte-Rose followed by a brief boat ride to Caret Island. The island emerged from the sea after Hurricane Hugo in 1989 and has since become a must-see spot. While the island itself is protected and cannot be walked on, swimming in the surrounding crystal-clear waters was an unforgettable experience and a perfect way to end the day."
