Our Sales Operations Executive, Lollie, recently got back from her 6 day trip to the beautiful Barbados. She shared her experiences below:

"In December, a group of UK agents and I were lucky enough to visit the gorgeous island of Barbados, very kindly hosted by the Barbados Tourism Agency and Aer Lingus. After hopping on a direct flight from Manchester, we arrived at the stunning Wyndham Grand, where we were warmly shown around by the lovely Devon. The hotel is newly renovated and sits on the historic grounds of Sam Lord’s Castle, named after a 19th-century pirate who famously caused shipwrecks using the now beautiful yet rugged cliff line. The property is incredibly extensive, conveniently close to the airport, and offers spacious, high-spec, modern rooms and acts as a great base to explore the east of the island."

"We kicked off the trip with two days of site visits touring some truly gorgeous properties, including Fairmont Royal Pavilion, Waves Resort & Spa, The Crane, Bougainvillea and Sugar Bay. Each hotel was completely unique, and at every stop we were blown away by the crystal-blue waters and warm Bajan hospitality. A lunch stop at Sea Shed Beach Club was a real highlight, with delicious local catches of the day on offer."

"Next, we hopped on an open-top bus tour around the island, stopping at Ragged Point, Bathsheba and Cuckold Point, each one beautiful, lively and full of character. After enjoying a local Bajan BBQ for lunch, we checked into our second hotel of the trip, O2 Beach Club, perfectly positioned on a stunning stretch of South Coast beach. Following a lovely tour with Rochelle, we settled into our ocean-view rooms. The design was a stylish blend of modern and colonial, with huge balconies and sun loungers, ideal for a morning coffee. We wasted no time diving into the Caribbean Sea before heading to the hotel’s sundowners, complete with steel pan music, festive vibes and rum punch served in freshly cut coconuts. Dinner at Oro followed, where we enjoyed a delicious three-course meal and hands-down the best cocktails of the trip."

"On our final day, we all hopped about Cool Running's Catamarans. With sails up, an open bar and crystal-clear waters, we cruised along the coastline, snorkelled shipwrecks and even swam with turtles. For our final evening, we experienced the incredible Harbour Lights show, offering everything from a beach BBQ and fire performances to live music, stilt walkers and carnival dancers. It was the perfect chance to get out, dance the night away and soak up the island’s vibrant culture. A big thank you to Cedric for his kind hospitality on his fantastic island."
