Welcome to our Hummingbird Grenada Journal! In July, Pip, Sarah, Toni and Ellie, spent 4 days in the Spice Island of Grenada, visiting and staying at some of our top selling properties on the island. Grenada came as the second part of their perfect pairing itinerary which combined a stay in St. Lucia with a few nights in Grenada, which we highly recommend to any clients looking to see more of the Caribbean in a single trip! This journal showcases all the places they visited while in Grenada as well as must do and see experiences, first hand quotes from the team and stand out features of the properties to help you best showcase them to your clients.

Our Caribbean Marketing Executive, Ellie, shared her experience staying at Six Senses La Sagesse :
"Six Senses La Sagesse is a great option for a wellness retreat by the ocean. The Six Senses Spa is a tranquil space by the calm waters of the lagoon, with hot and cold pools to enjoy pre and post treatment. This property would make a great twin centre with a hotel on Grand Anse Beach like Spice Island Resort & Spa for guests looking for a wellness program paired with a relaxing beach break."
Lunch at Silversands Beach House
On their journey from Six Senses La Sagesse to Spice Island Resort & Spa, Pip, Sarah, Toni and Ellie stopped off at the latest Silversands property for a first look around and an Italian inspired lunch. Much like its sister, Silversands Grand Anse, Silversands Beach House follows a similar look and feel with beach club elements and more casual vibe.
The girls enjoyed an array of Italian dishes such as pastas, pizzas and local fish specialties, by the waterfront at the Azzurro Italian Restaurant.
Toni, our Assistant Reservations Manager shared her thoughts on Silversands Beach House :
"The rooms are well styled, and I loved the ocean views in particular. The beach is so private and intimate, and I loved the location of the bar/restaurant being right on the water."

A Visit to Silversands Grand Anse
After lunch the team went to visit the original Silversands in Grenada for a tour of the property. Silversands Grand Anse is famous for the longest infinity pool in the Caribbean, measuring 100 metres, it also sits as the larger resort of the two with 43 rooms and suites, plus a collection of pool villas.
Our Global Reservations Director, Sarah, shares her experience :
"This is the original Silversands and is set on the beautiful Grand Anse Beach in Grenada. You are greeted by a very modern and stylish entrance which leads onto one of the longest pools in the Caribbean! An amazing feature of this hotel is the larger villas which are brilliant for multi gen families or large groups of friends. Some are set right on the beach whilst others are set back on the hill with beautiful views. They are smart, sleek and modern in design and so spacious - they give a very private setting whilst allowing people to use all the amenities of the Silversands property!"
Day 3-4 : Spice Island Resort & Spa
Last but not least the girls spent their last night in Grenada and final night of their Caribbean adventure on the famous Grand Anse Beach at Spice Island Resort & Spa.
They stayed in a range of accommodation options covering the Royal Collection Pool Suite that comes with its own private Sauna, Luxury Almond Pool Suite and Sea Grape Beach Suites.

Highlights from their stay:
-
Watching breathtaking sunsets right on the beach
-
Staying just steps away from the iconic Grand Anse Beach
-
Enjoying a delicious 3-course dinner at Oliver’s Restaurant accompanied by live music
-
Taking refreshing dips in their private suite pools
-
Making the most of the state-of-the-art gym for a great workout
- Not to be missed: The weekly Sunday beach BBQ is a must for any visit!
- Must try: Spice Island Resort's location means it's perfectly placed to explore the island - we'd highly recommend heading out and trying local restaurants and visiting attractions and markets.
- Stand out feature: This is an all-inclusive property so guests can enjoy delicious food, drinks and non-motorised water sports as part of their stay.
Our Head Of Caribbean, Pip, shared her thoughts on Spice Island:
"One of my absolute favourites in the Caribbean! Grand Anse Beach is just stunning and the perfect place to relax. I stayed in a Sea Grape Suite which opens right onto the beach so perfect for those wanting to be as close as possible to the sea, the pool villas are also great though especially for those looking for a little more privacy. With a fantastic all inclusive offering Spice Island Beach Resort really has it all!"
